Impressive set, minor QC issue
I'm new to lock sport and wanted a quality set of hooks to grow into as I learn and encounter more types of locks. I want to focus mostly on single-pin picking at first, and the Happy Hooker seemed like a logical next step up from the baby set. Order arrived on time and without issue. I am told that sometimes factory-new picks need a little final hand-finishing, but I can't feel any serious rough or sharp spots on any of these. They feel comfortable in hand. The case is a bit tight, but they all fit in there, along with the tension tools. Speaking of the tension tools, I deducted a single star from my rating because one of the Flat Five tools (marked F-2, which I assume corresponds to FLAT-5-B-TT) has a VERY rough edge along one side of its length, and that same side is a tiny bit crooked, as if the part got moved a little during the cutting process. I don't believe it will have any adverse effects on the performance of the tool, but it's a bit irksome to see, especially when the rest of the kit looks so good (and after hearing so many glowing reviews of Peterson kit). Apart from that minor issue I am pleased with this gear and I'm looking forward to using it. I will think of Peterson as my collection grows and picks need replacing.
