Product Description
This pick is manufactured from 0.018 thick Government Steel and then molded into a purple toned plastic handle. This is our second thinnest series of picks. While they are somewhat thicker than the 0.015 picks, they are designed with the "Euro" shank reduction to enhance egress into restrictive key ways. They are designed to be useful for locks having narrow key ways and to provide some more strength than the 0.015 picks.
Please note that these picks are specially designed to provide you access in narrow key ways where standard picks will not fit. This reduction in width comes at a logical cost in rigidity. Using these picks in wider key ways means you will lose the side to side lateral support for your pick that a narrow key way provides. If you are heavy handed you may find that these picks will try to flex sideways, or even bend under high pressure in locks with wide key ways.

Hook 1 .018”
Excellent hook, and will be purchasing more of the .018” hooks. Really strong, comfortable handles, and amazing feedback. Seems like this has got some great balanced characteristics and the thinness allows you to get into some really nasty keyways.

HOOK 1 - EURO SLENDER 0.018
This has to be my favorite profile of all time. Having them in each .015 .018 .025 multiple times. I wont ever be caught without one.

Cost
I paid over $20 for just 1 pick after shipping. Wow, that's ridiculous. I am a locksmith and look forward to sharing with many people in the lock & key industry here in Minnesota that they should not order from Petersons. Hi Patrick, Two quick things: You only paid $9.00 for the pick. You could have come down to our shop in the Rochester NY area and purchased it there (plus the required NYS SALES TAX) but instead you desired for us to ship it to you. We passed on to you the cost of shipping that we pay, and of course the the costs of picking/packing and labeling your package plus materials. Secondly it is Peterson not PetersonS.

A great hook
Being the slightly thinner sister of the venerable de facto industry standard .025" #1 hook, this is a highly effective and comfortable tool to use in more restricted keyways.

This is one of my go to picks in either 0.018 or 0.025 since they work well with most locks that I pick. This pick has outstanding strength and I can’t seem to wear them out.
