Product Description
This pick is manufactured from 0.018 thick Government Steel and then molded into a purple toned plastic handle. This is our second thinnest series of picks. While they are somewhat thicker than the 0.015 picks, they are designed with the "Euro" shank reduction to enhance egress into restrictive key ways. They are designed to be useful for locks having narrow key ways and to provide some more strength than the 0.015 picks.
Please note that these picks are specially designed to provide you access in narrow key ways where standard picks will not fit. This reduction in width comes at a logical cost in rigidity. Using these picks in wider key ways means you will lose the side to side lateral support for your pick that a narrow key way provides. If you are heavy handed you may find that these picks will try to flex sideways, or even bend under high pressure in locks with wide key ways.

Standard hook in .018
This pick works when the .025 standard hook won’t, I’ll have to get another standard hook in .015 round out my standard hook selection.

Great pick
Sport picker here. This is my go-to "jack" pick. I probably use it for 90% of the locks I pick. Very sturdy, I have a few because when they break (usually my fault) I like to have a backup

Excellent Feedback Great Hook!
I recently switched to using this as my main short hook. I started using sparrows when I first got into lock picking. I started 3d printing handles and ended up making a very nice pick. HOWEVER, there is a reality here that's just hard to beat. The petersens short hook still provides the best feedback for me than any other pick.
One thing I with I could do is buy a petersens short hook in .018 that doesn't have a handle. I don't mind if it isn't full tang either. -

Beginner at lock picking and not the best at it but glad I got the euro hook 1. The feel of it in my hand and the feedback I get is better then what I have been using in my opinion. Great fit and finish and quality built tool. Thanks.

When I made my order I got a standard pic of each size and this one is the one I use most it’s the perfect size for open keyways and para centric keyways all while still being stout enough to apply pressure as needed

Strength where it Counts
This euro pick is slim enough to fit even the most paracentric keyways while still providing the strength for the over-tensioner in me. The finish is beautiful and the feel is unparalleled. Worth every penny!
