    Product Description

    Our robust Gov Steel Hook 1 Pick offered in a Plastic Handle. Our top selling GS Plastic Handle (Government Steel Plastic) Series Picks, are made to our "EURO" design approach that incorporates a reduced "shank" height for easier pick access into key ways that were designed to be restrictive. The hard fiber filled handles readily transmit every vibration from your picking, and the pick's light weight makes them extremely agile and responsive. Our Government steel is a legend in itself: Our proprietary steel is high tensile, but at the same time it is ductile instead of brittle. The textured handles insure your grip is secure.

    Many people however favor our Rubber handle picks when available in the profile they desire (also in Euro design). These customers may work in colder or hotter environments and they enjoy the insulating characteristics of the rubber handles. Others in this group may have arthritis, or just enjoy the comfort that rubber provides. I myself also enjoy rubber handles, and as I tend to place my fore finger on the metal shank while picking I can also feel the vibrations from the lock.

      This pick has quickly became one of my favorites, it's thick and tough while still being easy to maneuver around in most keyways. This was the first pick I ever bought from Peterson, I got it over two years ago. I can't tell you how many locks I've picked with it in that time, but I can say it's continued to work time and time again with no issues. I use probably more tension than I should and this pick holds up great through it all.

      I am just a novice at messing around with locks, and not the greatest at it but I am glad I finally got the hook 1. It feels better in my hand and the feedback I get back seems better to me compared to what have been using. Great fit and finish and quality. Thanks.

      This is my favorite Pick! I have it in all 3 thicknesses, I got one with a rubber handle and I even bought the one made out of 10-95 Carbon Steel. I love this pick, it’s skinny, nimble and gives the best feedback! Buy this Pick if you don’t have one!

      I'm still a beginner, but when I got this pick I achieved my first single pin pick after only succeeding with a rake before. I then managed to pick a lock several more times after that. It has a nice feel and seems to work well. The tip is very sharp, so don't scratch your back with it.
