Product Description
Those of us who pick locks with spool or serrated pins already know that very light tension are important to allow the "trapped" spool pins to move upward when required.
Here is a spectacular turning tool for that purpose: 0.098 inches wide, by 0.018 thick, (made from a 5 inch long blank), these tools will serve you very well for those needs.
Bill Reed who wrote “Reed’s Security REPORTER” once noted that to quickly pick a lock filled with security pins, if you used the VERY lightest tension on the plug, then lifted all the pins to the top of the keyway; quickly withdrawing the tool holding the pins up will often allow the lock to open!
I tried that once – and he was right!
