Our robust Gov Steel Peterson HOOK-1 offered in a harder / firmer Rubber Handle. These rubber handles molded over a full length Government Steel shank are perfect for cold or hot days, or just an everyday feeling of comfort. This series of premium quality rubber picks has been the first choice of many professionals in the commercial and government sectors.
Using the softer rubber I would normally pick with my forefinger touching the metal shank. This allows me to clearly feel the pin action while picking.
This firmer rubber is material that our past molder had on hand, and they stuck us with it instead of buying the softer material we specified. They used this non approved rubber just before they went out of business. Go figure.....
One piece of news is that it does not seem to need the finger touch as much.
The good news for you is now that we finally have the softer rubber in stock these picks are being discounted.

Always wanted a Peterson Rubber pick, this is perfect
Having tested the full tang Peterson picks, I always wish I had the funds to order more of their picks. The govt steel is amazing, and this H1 is now my go to pick when picking "high quality" locks.
